Job Description
This Senior QA position will be responsible for day to day testing of builds and major releases of DataDirect products through manual and automated test procedures. They will work closely with the Engineering Manager, Program Manager, Development Engineers and other QA Engineers to develop test strategies, test plans and new tests for new and existing product features. Major responsibilities includes:
4Developing, maintaining and expanding the automated tests
4Adding new tests for each new feature or bug fix
4Tests automation will be written in C, C++, Java or .Net (C#)
4Test cases may me written in SQL, XQuery etc. based on the product they are working on.
4Responsibilities will also include daily triage of failed tests and creating reproducible test cases for development engineers. They will be working on multiple platforms, which include Windows, UNIX and Linux, and will be responsible for setup, configuration and testing of DataDirect products on all supported platforms

Required Skills
The successful candidate will be involved in the QA effort of DataDirect products. Their background will include experience with installation, configuration and testing of various products, which may include Java, .NET and Database clients in Windows and UNIX/Linux environments. They should also be familiar with GUI and Internationalization testing techniques. They will be expected to be self-sufficient and self-motivated. Excellent communication skills are required for the documentation, support and training aspects of the position. Most important is a strong desire to contribute in the creation and promotion of world class products.

Required Skills (Must Have) & Associated Number of Years of Experience:
4Minimum of 2-5 years experience in Quality Assurance and/or Software Development - Experience with developing test automation framework, performance testing and tuning.
4Knowledge, of the software development process, including Quality Assurance.
4Experienced in 1 or more programming language (C/C++, Java, .Net (C#)).
4Hands on experience on multiple OS like Windows, Unix, Linux, AIX etc.
4Hands on experience on Databases like Oracle, DB2, SQL Server. - Ability to create Test Plans, estimate, schedule and prioritize tasks.
4Excellent communication skills - Ability to interface with engineers, architects and mangers in order to accomplish objectives.
4Desired Skills (Good to have)
